- Take Exit 47 for Downtown New Haven (Route 34 Connector).
- Get into the right lane of the Connector and take Exit 1.
- At the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp, take a right onto Church Street.
- Go straight for two blocks/lights, then take a right onto Chapel Street.
- The Historic Mansion Inn is 1/4 mile on the right, after four traffic lights.
- 600 Chapel Street, yellow house with white columns.

- Take Exit 48 Hartford/Springfield Exit (for I-91 North).
- Upon entering exit, before joining I-91 North, there is an exit ramp (Exit 2). Take this exit, Hamilton Street Exit.

- Take Hamilton Street Exit 2.
- At the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp, take a right onto Hamilton Street.
- Go one block to the end of the street, and take a right onto Chapel Street.
- The Inn is 1/4 mile on the left, accross from the end of Wooster Square Park.
- 600 Chapel Street is a yellow house with white columns.
